About & mission

Style is allowed. Safety is non-negotiable.

Fit For Her Work Gear is a women-led initiative — gear that works with women, not against them. This is a research and development stage, not a store. We're starting from one belief: protective equipment only protects when it fits, and a large share of the workforce has never been offered gear designed around their body. Right now our whole job is listening and documenting.

This is not women vs. men

Men's PPE is not the enemy — it's just the only pattern most of the industry ever built at scale. We're adding the missing sizes and shapes, not taking anything away. Better fit standards help anyone whose body sits outside the template.

Fit first, catalog second

We're not launching a store and hoping. We're gathering fit data first, in the open, from the people wearing the gear. Where the research points is where the work goes — and we'll say so when we know.

Style is a real feature

Wanting to like your gear is not vanity — gear you're willing to wear all shift is gear that protects you. Where a standard sets the color or construction, the standard wins, full stop. Everywhere else, you should get a choice.

We say what we can back up

No invented statistics, no borrowed logos, no testimonials we didn't earn, no claims about certifications we don't hold yet. When we have data, we'll show where it came from.

Brand personality

Northern strength. An eye for every detail.

The moose is our symbol of northern protection and resilience. Its monocle represents the careful attention we give to the fit details others often miss—and women in the workforce have been expected to tolerate for far too long.

Our charcoal and plum palette is grounded, capable and strong. The touch of blue represents the rule breakers and hell-raisers moving the trades forward.

Gear that works with women, not against them.

Where we are today

Right now: listening

Right now this is a research and development initiative, not a company with a catalog. There is no inventory, no storefront and no pricing. What exists is this site and three ways to contribute: the PPE Fit Survey, the Founding Research Crew list, and the employer research form.

Completing a survey does not place an order and does not promise free gear. If prototype testing opens later, respondents can opt in to be contacted about it. We'll be specific about what comes next when we can be specific.
